General

Are you a dreamer, an adventurer or someone just wanting to work and experience ´real´ Australia whilst travelling "downunder"?

interconnections and their partner help young people with a sense of adventure and Working Holiday Visas (or other Visas allowing work), to have employment on the land or in rural hospitality (restaurants, bars, catering) for up to three months with any one employer.

We can help with jobs, we can help with English Language Instruction, and we can offer farm holidays ... as well as providing agricultural training.

These are the choices:

  • WORK for Working Holiday and Special Programme 416 Visa holders.
  • WORK EXPERIENCE for students and visitors.
  • HOLIDAYS for those who want to relax (or have excitement) on a Farm or Station.
  • ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRAINING for those who want to improve their spoken and written English skills.

Those who want outback farm or station work - working with horses, cattle and sheep, tractor and header driving, bull dozer work, fencing, mechanical work, chain saw work, horsework at stables, in trail riding centres, on Host Farms, with racehorses, polo ponies, camp draft horses or on cattle properties doing bore running, yard work, maintenance and agricultural bike work with cattle and sheep - must attend one of the Introduction to Agriculture Courses at a 2500 acre cattle farm or one of the neighbouring properties.

There are so many jobs that it is possible to find something to suit the skills of everybody BUT do not expect to be a tractor driver on the highest rate of pay after 4 lessons - nor assume that you can do an outback cattle mustering job on horseback if a non rider before the course.

Those who want Hospitality work - on Host Farms, in hotels and motels, bars and roadhouses should attend the Introduction to Hospitality Course instead of the Agriculture course. It is possible to combine hospitality and horse riding work.

There is work for:

  • mechanics and engineers
  • teachers and graduates
  • cooks and chefs
  • tractor and bulldozer drivers
  • agricultural graduates and students
  • anyone who has lived on a farm
  • horse riders
  • motorcycle riders
  • nurses and hospital staff
  • carpenters and joiners
  • plumbers and electricians
  • builders and construction labourers
  • veterinary students and nurses
  • hotel and general hospitality workers
  • domestic workers, cleaners and kitchen hands
  • Mother´s helps and nannies
  • students and gap year students
  • military service men and women
  • and anyone who does not mind getting their hands dirty and is willing to have the experience of a lifetime!

Please note:
A Working Holiday Visa is the condition for PAID work.
You must be between 18 and 30 years and hold a passport from one the following countries:
United Kingdom, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Belgium (coming soon)
Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland
Cyprus, Malta, Canada, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Italy (form 1st of Jan. 04).
If this does not apply, you may still be interested in a farmstay with a language course or farm holidays.
Your may also be interested in our offer on New Zealand.

interconnections is your passport to a serious job with good pay and conditions - not a holiday!
