To anyone wanting work in Australia

Thank you for your enquiry. There are more than 200 jobs available at most times during the year; work it guaranteed when you come here.
We provide employment for young people with a sense of adventure and Working Holiday Visas (or other Visas allowing work) on the land or in rural hospitality for up to three months with any one employer. Australians also join us; and New Zealanders are given work for up to 12 months if booking from their home country.
Those with agricultural and hospitality experience are highly sought after, but in most cases those coming to us just want to learn to do a good job in the outback something they cannot experience at home.
Jobs available are working with cattle and sheep, tractor and header driving, bull dozer work, fencing, mechanical work, chain saw work, horse work at stables, in trail riding centres, host farms, with racehorses, polo ponies, event horses or show jumpers, camp draft horses or horseback work on cattle properties.
There are also "mixture" jobs available, involving some domestic work, child care, nurse or nanny work, teaching or tutoring. Other jobs, at host farms and large trail riding centres could also involve bar and kitchen work, housekeeping and gardening. There are also some uniquely Australian jobs - stick picking, module building or cotton chipping!
You will be met at Brisbane Airport on your arrival in this country on a Friday (or Thursday if you get an e-visa) and you will then go to a beach resort for the weekend for some sun, sea and sand to get over jet lag. on the Monday following our partners will arrange to get Tax File Numbers, Medicare cards and Bank accounts for you and take you shopping for anything you need, such as Blundstone boots (about $75), wide brimmed hats (you will be given one), pocket knives, alarm clocks and long sleeved shirts.
You will spend five days on the training farm - either our parters, a host farm or hotel or one of our associate farms - then you will learn new or improve the skills you already have. The course will cover tractor, horse and cattle work, riding an agricultural motor bike across country, fencing, use chain saws and working in the cattle yards or hospitality skills learned on a host farm and in a local hotel. on completion of the course you will be guaranteed work with one of the 950+ employers all around Australia who come to us when they need extra help and cannot fill the vacancies from their local labour force.
Jobs are available all over Australia and throughout the year. It is possible to work your way around Australia using our partner. The only jobs in Tasmania are for top alpine ski racers or those who wish to be a Girl Friday. We also have several special jobs we keep for veterinary students or graduate vet nurses - including with some flying vets.
Jobs vary in terms and conditions and most farmers work a seven day week. The amount of work you decide to do is up to you - but the more you do the more money you are paid. The minimum pay is Stationhand Level 1, which means that you will be able to save between about $250 and $350 per week. There is a youth wage (under 20, or under 21 in WA) which is about 2/3rds of this.
We have had experienced tractor drivers earning over $1500 per week. Hospitality work is often hourly paid. Those who wish to work together may find they have to wait for jobs for two or more to come up - or they can be placed near each other. Remember, though, that in some places in this country, neighbours are 150km or more apart!
You will get much more out of this than just a job - you will learn new skills and see parts of Australia you can only imagine. We keep in touch with all participants as far as possible - we forward mail and put them in touch with other people with us so that they can travel together when on holiday. Through an Email system it is possible to keep in touch even when participants are travelling.
It is very important that you have a driving licence before coming to Australia - too bad if you fail it just before you come, it is not a bar, but it does make your chances of really varied jobs very much less. We also offer extra on-farm driving courses for $350 (3 days) and this is usually enough to get non drivers going really well.
Skilled people are always sought after, whether your talents are as a teacher, waiter, nurse, chef, electrician, carpenter, mechanic, bricklayer, plumber, fitter and turner or builder you will find varied and interesting work in the outback through our partner.
With an electronic visa you will need to arrive on a Thursday or Friday morning very early in order to stay in Brisbane to get your visa changed. If staying in Brisbane we recommend a central hostel, which is inexpensive in comparison to others.
The total cost is Euro 1125 and this includes all the items listed on the web site as well as providing assistance with any problems and work for you for the duration of your Visa. Staying in Brisbane is not included. You will need also to budget for the cost of your Visa, the airfare about Euro 1200 from Europe at present and insurance. Participants from the UK, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Malta and Italy do not need Medical insurance as they are covered by the national Australia Medicare, by reciprocation. You will need travel, ambulance and baggage insurance, though.
