Accommodation
Sleeping in London
There are four types of accommodation:
Homestay
1. In many areas except Central London (zone 1-2), we will find you a single or twin room in an English family where you will be considered as a member of the family. The rent will vary from £55.00 (89.81 Euros) to £75.00 (117 Euros) per week per person, bills included, without meals.Upon arrival, 3 weeks rent in advance will be required, no deposit will be payable.
Shared House
2. In the suburb of London only (zone4 - 5) for more independence outside a family environment, we will find you an accommodation in a house, sharing a twin room with another European student or in a single room depending on availability. The house will be fully equipped i.e.: telephone for incoming calls, colour TV, video recorder, washing machine, microwave etc. The rent is £60 (97.97 Euros) bills excluded, and from 01/09/2002 rent will increase to £65 (106 Euros) per week per person.
Upon arrival, 3 weeks rent in advance and £150 (244.90 Euros) deposit will be required.
Live in positions
3. Most hotels outside Central London will provide you with a live-in position in a shared room. The hotel will offer full board. The rent ranging from £15 (24.49 Euros) to £40 (65.31 Euros) a week, will be deducted from your wages. Upon arrival no rent or deposit will be payable.
Shared Flat
4. In Central London only (zone1-2) we can offer you a room to share with 2 to 6 students in a youth hostel at a cost varying from £75.00 (122.40 Euros) to £105 (171.40 Euros) per week per person, bills included, without meals.
Upon arrival, 3 weeks rent and £50 (81.65 Euros) deposit will be required.
For any type of accommodation bed linen and a quilt will be provided free of charge but you will have to bring your own towel.
Any of the above accommodation will be within one hour´s journey of your work placement, either by tube, bus or train.
